about
Anna Scardellato (b. 1995) is a performance artist and violinist based in Venice.
Building on 20 years of classical performance across European orchestras and rigorous conservatory training in St. Petersburg and Brussels, her work redefines musical discipline as a site for contemporary artistic inquiry.
Since 2026, under the mentorship of artist Cesare Pietroiusti her practice challenges the rigid paradigms of classical music, transforming traditional violin technique from a vehicle for mastery into an experimental arena exploring error, the unexpected, deviation, and both the physical and psychological limits of the performer.
